KORFBAL EVS IN BARCELONA

EVS in Barcelona/Spain. Actions; Play korfbal by our senior team, teach korfbal in our korfbal school, participate too in other social projects through the sport.

We offer to you, to have a very nice and friendly experience in Badalona city, close Barcelona, making a lot of activities around the korfbal, teaching in school, in youth clubs, and of course playing korfbal and helping our senior team.
The accommodation is in a flat with other evs from different countries, very well communicated, with the basic resources, 20 minutes to the beach walking, 20 minutes from Barcelona by metro.

The work will be in cooperation with social workers, korfbal players from Badalona Ck, teachers, etc.

SPORTIVE PROJECT KORFBALL
The project of Korfball is one of the aspects La Rotllana
is working since long time in Badalona, next to Barcelona. Main
aim of the project is to give support to “Korfbal Club Badalona”
& “La Rotllana” organisation to improve number of participants
and technical skills, korfbal skills, in Badalona city.

Some goals:
- Improve the number of korfbal players in the team.
- Improve the korfbal skills, technical, tactical.
- Improve the team atmosphere.

Tasks:
Promotion of korfball in primary and secondary schools
with school teachers.
Training juniors and seniors teams.
Play in the official korfball competition with seniors.
Participate in others sports activities, taking part in their
organization (Orienteering, football, climbing..)
Give administrative and daily support to Club korfball
Badalona
Participate in other socials projects.
Methodology:
From Club korfbal Badalona we will support the volunteer during all the process; once here in Badalona, volunteer will have the opportunity to work with other local volunteers, professionals, and have the opportunity to organize projects on him/her self.

Local conditions
The project will take place basically in Badalona, 20 minutes by metro from Barcelona. The volunteer will leave in one flat with other evs who participate in others different projects of the same organization.
Club korfbal Badalona will offer:
- opportunity to learn basically Spanish and Catalan
- good atmosphere for work
- Intercultural learning with the local population and the others evs

Period:
From September 2017 till June 2018 for two volunteers.

About our team.
Club korfbal Badalona is the older korfball team in Catalonia-Spain. We have one team in second division, and others sub18. Some years ago we were the most active team in Catalonia, with one strong korfball level, the most important international korfball tournament, and with best players. We want to start again the way for be the
biggest club in Catalonia with your help.

EVS is subsidized by the Erasmus+program. Accommodation, 90
% of the travel costs and food shall be insured. Also language lessons and a small
amount of pocket money are included. You have to do at least between 30/35 hours a week volunteer work.
