KNOW Habits

Acquisition of healthy habits on the basis of our cuisine and the fight against inactivity, through the Mediterranean food culture.

Our project is based primarily on one of the priorities of the Youth in Action program, Cultural Diversity, as it is intended to raise awareness of young people to other cultures and support dialogue and intercultural encounters with those who come from different backgrounds and cultures.
From there, we work focusing primarily on the acquisition of healthy habits on the basis of our cuisine and the fight against inactivity. There will be two issues that we can work around the Mediterranean food culture and the use of our natural resources to encourage young people to practice the outdoor exercise. Our gastronomy offers group visits us an insight into our culture, our way of life, our traditions and customs, our history. And it is from that comes our Mediterranean diet, considered the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The Mediterranean diet, whose name comes from the Greek word "diaita", meaning way of life-not only about food, and that is the point at which we want to support the project, treating it as a cultural element that fosters interaction social also rooted in an attitude of respect for the conservation and development of the products of our land.
In the design of our activities have led to situations such as breakfast prepared with products of our land, healthy cooking workshops, visit our factories Christmas sweets that are made with organic ingredients and raw materials of our region, from the top route as habit Mediterranean tradition pastry shop, guided hiking trail on aromatic plants used in the Mediterranean diet, olive oil tasting, etc..
