The aim of the project is to train youth workers in rural areas how to create KM0 non-formal activities having lack of infrastructures and supplies.GREEN TRAVEL

"KM0 Educational Activities" is a transnational project promoted by CAFI APS, based in Italy, in collaboration with 5 Europe organizations, aimed to train youth workers, living in rural/remote areas how to develop non-formal activities having lack of infrastructures (e.g.laboratory space, budget) and supplies in order to create capillary communities of youngsters.
Activities should be attractive to young people, visual-based to include more youngsters as possible. Youth Workers will develop entrepreneurship skill and reinforce creative thinking as a key competence applicable in all field of life.
The idea was born from a series of talks with young people in the area of lower Tuscany, purely rural, where there are no youth centers and the only available activities are sports but not accessible for those with economic difficulties.

We include n.24 youth workers coming from 6 Europe countries, Italy included. The learning process will
be supported by one experienced Trainer and one Mentor from CAFI APS.

CAFI APS choose GREEN TRAVEL, so only by bus, train or carpooling. Please, we are looking for Partners near the Italian borders or well-connected with Italy (es. Lione)

The main target group of this project is youth workers/ youth leaders/ volunteer coordinators/ mentors (incl.ESC volunteers/ social workers/ coaches or managers of cultural association in art and cultural field/ teachers) who face economical, geographical and cultural obstacles aged 18+ and/or work with young people facing this obstacles. In certain contexts, especially in rural/remote areas disconnected from the major centers of culture and training, these situations/obstacles prevent youth workers from having effective access to trans-national mobility, from participation of updating event, empowerment and inclusion in society at large. The youth workers who are planning to participate in the youth exchange having: - Economical obstacles: youth workers with a low standard of living, low income, dependence on social welfare system, parents long-term unemployment, financial problems in families considering also covid-19 pandemy and its impact at rural level; CAFI APS is always in contact with Italian and Europe small organizations that they were forced to close. Local NGOs have no financial support and for many youth workers it has meant the loss of work and strong personal and professional isolation - Geographical obstacles: people from remote or rural areas, living in peripheral regions, people from urban problem zones, from less serviced areas. - Cultural obstacle: we want to open this project also to youth workers with different culture as ethnic minorities, different religion, etc.. in this way we want to create a cultural environment sharing different practice putting down stereotypes.
