Looking for Secondary Schools: Enhance career guidance to reduce dropout rates, support informed career choices, and ensure smoother educational transitions.
We are looking for schools.
Main aim: To reduce school dropout rates, support students in making informed and
confident career choices and ensure smoother transitions between educational stages
through enhanced career guidance in secondary school.
The main objectives of the project are:
• To exchange experiences, good practices and methodologies among organisations and
professionals from five European countries, on effective and inclusive career guidance
strategies and methods;
• To enhance the key competences of teachers and other professionals in secondary
education who are dedicated to career guidance;
• To develop an inclusive career guidance plan tailored to the specific needs of the school
community, promoting equitable access to career support for all students;
• To create a network of organisations and professionals active in the field of school
education from five countries, fostering collaboration and aware of the importance of
inclusive career guidance.
Duration of the project: 24 months. Expected starting date of the project: 31/12/2025.
Partnership:
Iniciativa Internacional Joven (Spain) is the applicant of this Project. We plan to involve five
schools from four different European countries.
Work Packages and main activities (*some changes and adjustments could be done):
• WP1 – Project Management and Coordination (Months 1 – 24): Project Coordination,
Follow-up and Quality Control. Quarterly monitoring reports. First Coordination
Meeting (M2), Mid-term coordination meeting (M12) and Final Evaluation Meeting
(M24).
• WP2 – Development of the comprehensive and inclusive career guidance plan (Months
3 – 22): Coordination of WP2, Identification and selection of good practices, Meeting
among experts (M5), Creation of the common career guidance plan (M5-M10), Local
meetings for feedback with teachers/professionals in the field of school, students,
former students and parents (M11-M12), Online meeting among experts (M13),
Creation of the final proposal (M13-M14), Pilot implementation in each school with
different student profiles (M14-M17), Validation meeting among experts and
professionals who participated in the pilot implementation (M18), Adaptation and final
drafting of the career guidance plan, translated into the languages of all participating
organisations (M19-M22).
• WP3 - Impact and Dissemination (Months 1-24): Coordination of WP3, creation of the
logo, graphic line and webpage of the project. Creation of materials for project
visibility. Meetings to present the project in each country/school. Mapping and
meetings with stakeholders. Multiplier event (except the hosting country of the Final
Conference) to present the plan to the local community and to policy-makers and
responsibles of education in each participating country. Final Conference (M24), during
the Final Evaluation Meeting.
