KA220-SCH: CLIMB: Climate Learning through Immersive Media for a Better Future

CLIMB is a project leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Augmented Reality (AR) to revolutionize climate education for children aged 8–14

Climate change is one of the most pressing challenges of the 21st century. Its complexity demands innovative approaches to educate the younger generation, ensuring they understand the science, implications, and actionable solutions for a sustainable future. Traditional educational methods often struggle to engage students with abstract climate concepts or encourage proactive behavior. Emerging technologies, such as Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and platforms like Minecraft, offer unparalleled opportunities to make learning interactive, immersive, and impactful.

By leveraging these tools, we can:

Simplify complex climate concepts.
Enable experiential learning by immersing students in virtual ecosystems.
Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Encourage collaborative and creative approaches to climate action.
