An international youth project empowering young people to reduce food waste, adopt sustainable food habits and understand food safety through daily practices.
This project brings together young people from different countries to explore how everyday food choices are connected to environmental sustainability. By starting from daily habits that everyone can relate to, the project makes sustainability more accessible, practical and meaningful for young people.
Through international cooperation and non-formal learning activities, participants reflect on sustainable consumption, food waste and food safety in a way that encourages active involvement rather than passive learning. The project creates space for discussion, shared experiences and comparison of food-related practices across cultures, allowing young people to learn from each other.
The project follows a step-by-step structure combining transnational activities and local actions, supporting gradual learning and real-life application. While activities are adapted to local contexts, the common framework helps participants understand how similar challenges can lead to different outcomes depending on cultural and environmental conditions.
By empowering young people to question their habits, exchange ideas and take small but meaningful actions, the project aims to strengthen environmental awareness and promote more responsible and sustainable food practices that can continue beyond the project duration.
