KA210 YOU - Equal AI: Promoting Gender Representation in Artificial Intelligence

By tackling biases in AI, this project helps to create tools that serve diverse populations equitably; empower young women to envision as leaders in technology.

Artificial intelligence shapes our world, yet it often reflects and amplifies existing gender biases. For instance, many AI tools and applications use male imagery for roles like engineers or doctors, perpetuating stereotypes. This project brings together individuals passionate about technology, gender equality, and innovation to address these biases. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, participants will co-create practical solutions for inclusive AI systems that respect and represent everyone equally.

As AI becomes an integral part of decision-making, its fairness and inclusivity are paramount. By tackling biases in AI, this project helps create tools that serve diverse populations equitably. It empowers participants—especially young women—to envision themselves as leaders in technology. The project also raises broader societal awareness about how AI impacts our daily lives, ensuring that technological advancements benefit everyone.
