KA210-YOU Dance Bridges

We are seeking European partners with expertise in youth dance workshops, dance competitions, or any form of dance expression. Partners with experience in managing EU projects or conducting social initiatives through art are highly desirable.

"Dance Bridges" is an innovative 18-month Erasmus+ initiative that leverages the universal language of dance to foster inclusion, diversity, active citizenship, and social entrepreneurship among European youth. By integrating various dance forms and interactive platforms, the project seeks to bridge cultural divides and encourage a proactive engagement in societal challenges.

Objectives:

Foster Inclusion and Diversity: Utilize diverse dance forms to celebrate the rich cultural tapestry of Europe, ensuring all activities are accessible and inclusive.
Promote Active Citizenship: Engage participants in community-oriented dance projects, encouraging civic engagement and contributing positively to local communities.
Encourage Youth Entrepreneurship: Equip young participants with the skills to use dance as a tool for social entrepreneurship, addressing community needs through innovative projects.
Activities:

Kick-Off Meeting: A transnational meeting to align project goals, activities, and responsibilities among all partners.
Diverse Dance Workshops: Conduct workshops showcasing various European dance styles to promote cultural appreciation and diversity.
Interactive Dance Competitions: Organize inclusive dance competitions with categories that ensure participation from diverse groups, focusing on creativity, inclusion, and the promotion of EU values.
Community Dance Projects: Facilitate community dance projects that address specific social issues, encouraging participants to apply dance as a tool for social change.
Entrepreneurial Skills Workshops: Workshops focused on developing entrepreneurial skills, where participants learn to create and manage dance-based social enterprises.
Online Interactive Platform: Develop an online platform for streaming live events and workshops, enabling wider participation and fostering a community of engaged young individuals.
Flash Mob Initiatives: Utilize flash mobs as a creative means to engage the public and promote the project’s themes in high-visibility public spaces.
Inclusion and Non-discrimination Workshops: Deliver sessions that promote understanding and action on equality and non-discrimination in the arts.
EU Values and Awareness Panels: Host discussion panels alongside dance events to explore and debate the role of art in promoting EU values and addressing social issues.
Expected Outcomes:

A heightened awareness among youth of European cultural diversity and the values of inclusion and equality.
Enhanced entrepreneurial skills, particularly in how to leverage artistic expression for social impact.
A network of youth prepared to lead community-focused dance projects and social enterprises.
Impact: "Dance Bridges" aims to create lasting impacts by empowering a new generation of socially responsible citizens who use their artistic talents to foster inclusive and vibrant communities. Dissemination and Evaluation: The project will employ a multi-channel dissemination strategy, including social media, a dedicated website, and partnerships with local media to share outcomes and successes. An evaluative framework will measure the impact on participants' skills, attitudes, and behaviors, ensuring the project’s objectives are met and providing a basis for future initiatives.
