Secondary Schools Partners: Enhance teacher training programs to equip educators with AI skills for both teaching AI as a subject and integrating AI.
For schools who work with AI.
Main aim: To improve teacher training programmes that prepare teachers and other
professionals in the field of school education for the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the
classroom, both for the teaching of AI as a subject and for integrating AI tools into teaching
methods.
The main objectives of the project are:
• To know the different pedagogical approaches and methodological tools used in
European secondary schools to develop teachers‘ competences for teaching AI and
teaching through AI;
• To exchange experiences, good practices and methodologies among organisations and
professionals from four European countries, on teacher training for the effective,
ethical and responsible use of AI in the classroom;
• To develop a common, improved proposal for teacher training in and through AI that
fosters students’ ethical and critical thinking competences, through working groups
involving different actors of the educational community;
• To enhance the key competences, in particular digital competence, of teachers and
other professionals in secondary education through the exchange of experiences and
good practices, enabling them to integrate AI tools effectively into their teaching
practices;
• To create a network of organisations and professionals active in the field of school
education from five countries, fostering collaboration and raising awareness of the
ethical implications and transformative potential of AI in education.
Duration of the project: 20 months. Expected starting date of the project: 01/12/2025.
