KA210 SafeNet & KiVa: AI-Driven Cyberbullying Prevention and Digital Empathy in Schools

Prevent cyberbullying via KiVa and AI tools, fostering digital empathy, peer mediation, and a safe, inclusive school climate for all students.

This project aims to address the rapidly increasing problem of fake accounts, cyberbullying, and the lack of empathy behind screens among lower secondary school students. The school's disadvantaged and migrant student population, together with teachers' limited capacity to respond to emerging digital threats, constitutes the main rationale for the project.

Coordinated by Albay Süleyman Külahçı Secondary School, the 18-month project will combine the evidence-based KiVa Anti-Bullying Programme with AI-powered ethical and pedagogical early-warning approaches. Through reciprocal job-shadowing activities for teachers and joint international student exchanges 14 mediators students "Cyber Peer Mediators" will be trained to promote safe and respectful online behaviour.

By the end of the project, a 12-module "Digital Empathy and Cyberbullying Prevention Guide" for teachers, a student-created "School Cyber Constitution," and a digital reporting module will be developed. The project aims to achieve a 40% reduction in school bullying incidents, while all project outputs will be shared as open educational resources through EBA and ESEP, making them accessible to schools across the region.
