The Circle Co-lab project general aim is to improve creative, entrepreneurial and interdisciplinary skills of students from VET schools (electrical engineering, design, crafts, woodworking and textiles) needed for the jobs of the future through the development of an innovative work practice model based on intergenerational (secondary schools, faculties) and cross-sectoral (maker spaces, fab lab, creative industry, SMEs), a co-creative laboratory in which prototypes of digital products for creative industries (games, apps etc)
We will connect two cycles of education - secondary and university. This intergenerational co-creative laboratory would make it possible for secondary school students, in cooperation with adults, to map the problem they want to solve and to design a solution to the problem in the form of a future product and then students from universities would provide support by developing a concept for the realization of the solution, and high school students would create a product prototype. The whole process would take place within the framework of the "Circle Co-lab", a model of extracurricular activity that would be launched within two educational cycles.
The project focus on the following specific objectives:
Support and strengthen the development of scientific, technological, engineering and mathematical (STEM) skills focused on social innovation, environment and economic sustainability for all, starting from a young age and throughout life
Develop partnerships amongst educators, makerspaces, businesses and other stakeholders with the purpose of supporting VET learners in acquiring and developing skills and key competences in CE and foster employability
