KA182 Cerebral Palsy Football

Opening and promoting the Cerebral Palsy Football branch in Turkey. Integrating children with disabilities into life through sports.

WALKER SPORTS CLUB

Cerebral Palsy Football (CP Football) is for athletes with cerebral palsy or acquired brain injury and is a team sport played as a recreational activity or competitively at club, national, regional and international level.
Globally referred to as 'the beautiful game', soccer is an integral part of society and is recognized as the most popular sport in the world. It is essential that everyone can enjoy the game, regardless of race, color, religious belief, gender or disability.
Football has an indiscriminate unifying power across the world. It encourages unity by bringing different cultures and societies together. This sport is centered on people with disabilities and aims to support their existence in society without exclusion and equal access to sports like everyone else. In order for Cerebral Palsy football to be known and spread, it is very important to train young people in this field.
It has been observed in many countries where CP Football is played that individuals who play Cerebral Palsy football from a young age have been proven to have a more robust personal development, as they feel belonging to the society, away from the feeling of exclusion, and have achievements on their own. It also has a therapeutic feature for these individuals who have to undergo physical therapy throughout their lives.
The meeting and acquaintance of individuals with the same disease in many countries within the scope of CP Football matches will both increase the awareness of disabled individuals and raise their social life standards. It is of great importance that disabled individuals are improved in every field and integrated into society. Educating our young individuals on these issues will bring about improvements in the future.
All necessary work should be started to open and increase the number of CP Football branches in Turkey. Meetings should be held with relevant institutions and necessary promotions and trainings should be designed for young people. Individuals with disabilities should be reached and included in sports.
With KA-182, we want to implement this project considering the important role of sport in promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, interpersonal relationships, social inclusion and equality. We aim to increase the adaptation of people with disabilities to life by focusing on sports and to focus on both social and physical improvements through football.

With this project we aim to;
1. To develop the European dimension in sport and international cooperation in the field of learning mobility in sport,
2. To open a Cerebral Palsy Football branch in Turkey,
3. To train young personnel in the field of sports,
4. To ensure equal participation of people with disabilities in sports,
5. Build the capacity of Paralympic sports organizations,
6. To improve the skills and technical knowledge of sports personnel,
7. Promote common European values through education, training and skills in and through sport,
