The project focuses on strengthening the competences of youth workers
“Resonance: Youth, Memory and Cultural Expressions Across Europe” is a KA153-YOU (Mobility of Youth Workers) project under Erasmus+ (Country-based application).
The project focuses on strengthening the competences of youth workers who actively work with young people in multicultural, diasporic, post-conflict or socially disadvantaged contexts.
Across Europe, youth workers increasingly face the challenge of engaging young people who experience identity fragmentation, limited participation opportunities and weak social bonds. Cultural memory, music, dance and storytelling are often present in communities, yet they are rarely transformed into structured tools for youth participation and civic engagement.
This project aims to equip youth workers with practical, non-formal learning methodologies that use cultural expressions not as nostalgic elements, but as active tools for:
• Meaningful youth participation
• Social inclusion
• Intercultural dialogue
• Civic engagement
• Strengthening belonging and community resilience
The total project duration will be 12 months, including preparation, a 7-day international mobility activity, and structured follow-up and dissemination phases.
Objectives
The project aims to:
• Strengthen youth workers’ competences in inclusive and participatory methodologies
• Develop practical workshop models using music, dance, oral history and cultural memory as youth engagement tools
• Improve facilitation skills in multicultural and post-conflict environments
• Enhance digital competences related to documentation, storytelling and dissemination
• Foster sustainable transnational cooperation among youth organisations
Target Group
• 30 youth workers (5 per country)
• Actively working with young people with fewer opportunities
• Experienced or interested in non-formal education approaches
