KA153 Cut FREE from Catastrophe

Cecropia Hub is inviting you to join a new project idea of a Training Course to be implemented in Greece during the summer of 2027, called "Cut FREE from Catastrophe"

After a year of preparing and equipping ourselves against natural disasters and handling catastrophes with care and caution, we succeeded in implementing our very first Youth Exchange program "EmerGenZ" which focused on natural disasters with an extra focus on wildfires, basic first aid and psychological first aid training for youth as first responders in a crisis.

We realized that our scope takes us higher in delivering meaningful experiences in which a small spark can light up a fire of continuous learning journey, especially, when it comes to a situation of an emergency.

Having gathered tools and specialists around the topic, we aspire to implement a Training Course within the period of summer 2027, during which educators, youth leaders, mentors, facilitators, trainers, and people who work with young people will receive intensive training on the most critical aspects of emergency and youth response in urgent situations such as one of a natural disaster. Knowledge around natural disasters and self-protection is quite limited and we wish to highlight the importance of it across people in positions of leading youth groups. Equipping educators, youth leaders, mentors, facilitators, trainers and all individuals interested with a concrete set of skills on understanding natural disasters and self-protection, basic first aid and psychological first aid training, effective communication under stress as well as team coordination in urgent situations among responders will offer a first line of knowledge and stimuli in bringing more awareness and prioritizing safety and caution in critical situations.
