KA152 - Mind Games for Digital Balance and Youth Wellbeing

KA152 youth exchange in Türkiye using chess and mind games to improve digital balance, strategic thinking, wellbeing and intercultural learning.

Aklınla Düşün, Zekânla Oyna – Mind Games for Digital Balance and Youth Wellbeing is a planned Erasmus+ KA152 Youth Exchange project to be hosted in Türkiye by Beyin Sporları Gençlik ve Spor Kulübü Derneği, a youth and sports organisation working in the field of chess, mind games and young people’s mental, social and personal development.

The project aims to bring together young people from different European countries to explore how chess, mind games and non-formal learning can support digital balance, strategic thinking, attention, problem-solving, teamwork and youth wellbeing. The main idea is not to organise a chess tournament, but to use chess and mind games as practical learning tools for young people.

Today, many young people face challenges such as excessive screen time, social media pressure, short attention span, stress, social isolation and difficulties in decision-making. Through this youth exchange, participants will reflect on their digital habits, learn from each other’s realities, take part in intercultural group activities and design peer-learning tools that can be used in schools, youth centres and local communities.

The project will include workshops, group work, chess-based strategy exercises, mind games, reflection sessions, intercultural activities, creative production and a local visibility event. Participants will also develop a short Youth Digital Balance Manifesto and a practical Mind Games for Digital Balance Toolkit.

We are looking for reliable partner organisations experienced in youth work, non-formal education, digital wellbeing, social inclusion, sports, chess, mind games, mental health awareness or intercultural learning. Each partner will actively contribute to preparation, participant selection, implementation, dissemination and follow-up activities.

The project is also designed as a first step toward long-term international cooperation. After the KA152 youth exchange, we aim to develop future Erasmus+ KA210, KA220 or Erasmus+ Sport projects with the same partnership network.
