KA1 Youth Exchange

The youth exchange will allow to observe the motivations of the transnational mobility and the opportunities that such a multicultural society could offer to young people. The participants will debate on the sense of multiple identity of the migrants (in particular of the second generation), the possible intercultural conflicts and the process of assimilation, integration and social exclusion. The youth exchange will deal with many prejudices and with the superficial awareness of this phenomenon, that is frequently confused with other problems such as terrorism. The project will allow the participants to face topics such as freedom of expression, thought, conscience and religion through reflecting on the recent mondial events, from Charlie Hebdo in France to the terrorist attack at the Bardo National Museum in Tunis. This project wants to demonstrate the opportunities of a multicultural Europe through the growing mobility of young people. The exchange will take place in Palermo (Italy), multicultural city, in October 2015.
