Tomorrow’s Skills aims to support young Europeans NEETs in better understanding the changes of the labour market due to IA, and valuing their competences.
The project Tomorrow’s Skills aims to support young Europeans, particularly NEETs and young people facing barriers to employment, in better understanding the transformations of the labour market and valuing their competences, in order to strengthen their confidence, employability, and adaptability in the context of AI-driven changes.
Indeed, youth employability remains a key challenge. Despite existing European initiatives, many young people still face difficulties accessing employment or training opportunities. Around 15% of Europeans aged 15–29 are considered NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training), while youth unemployment remains significantly higher than for other age groups across several European countries.
At the same time, rapid changes in the labour market — driven by digital, ecological, and especially AI-related transitions — are transforming professions, recruitment methods, and employers’ expectations. Young people increasingly question which skills will remain valuable in the future and how they can find their place in an evolving and increasingly automated world of work.
In response to these challenges, the project Tomorrow’s Skills aims to strengthen the recognition and development of young people’s formal, non-formal, and informal competences, while supporting them in understanding future changes in the labour market, particularly linked to artificial intelligence.
