KA1 Youth Exchange (18-25): Resilience & nature immersion. Break-away stay in eco-hosting sites. Manual solidarity workshops.
We are looking for a partner organization to join an innovative Youth Exchange focused on holistic recovery and social reintegration.
The core of this project is a "Break-away Stay" (Séjour de rupture in french) in a rural, sustainable environment. We believe that disconnecting from urban pressures and harmful habits is the first step toward reconstruction. The exchange will take place in a community-based hosting site (eco-village or small-scale pedagogical farm) where participants will live as active members of the household.
Rather than a traditional seminar, this project is based on Experiential Learning. Young people will engage daily in the life of the host site through:
- Practical Solidarity Workshops: Working alongside the hosts in their daily activities. This "learning-by-doing" approach helps restore self-esteem, physical health, and a sense of accomplishment.
- Intergenerational Living: Sharing the home of local hosts to rediscover the codes of social life, respect, and mutual aid in a safe, drug-free environment.
- Workshops on Resilience & Personal Growth: Daily group circles and workshops designed to foster group cohesion and self-transcendence.
The goal is to use the contact with nature and the rhythm of manual contribution as a therapeutic tool to break the cycle of exclusion.
We are looking for one partner organization able to involve:
- 4 Participants (18-25 years old): Young adults motivated to change their life dynamics, currently facing social or health-related obstacles (addiction recovery, post-justice, or high-risk backgrounds).
- 1 Group Leader: A social worker, educator, or mentor with experience in accompanying "at-risk" youth. Their role is crucial for the safety and emotional support of the group.
Our host site (to be finalized) will provide: A simple, authentic environment where the group will be hosted "at the inhabitant's home" or in a community setting, sharing meals and tasks as a way to foster European solidarity.
