TC and networking for YW who work with youngster with physical disability due to accidents or serious illnesses. Already in: SE, TK, GR, AM, SK
This is a KA153 Project that aims to strengthen the skills and capacities of youth workers in actively supporting the social reintegration of young people who have faced serious illnesses or injuries, adapting the activities already proposed by the partner associations, whether they are sports, recreational or any other kind. Events such as disabling illnesses or traumatic incidents can generate a significant psychological and physical impact, often leading to social isolation and the loss of opportunities for active participation in the community.
"Back to Life" proposes an innovative and holistic approach, providing youth workers with the tools and methodologies necessary to develop and implement inclusive and adapted recreational and sports activities.
The project includes:
- Specific training: Acquisition of basic knowledge on the different pathologies and injuries, on the psychophysical needs of the young people involved and on the best practices for the adaptation of activities.
- Development of relational skills: Strengthening empathic communication and motivation skills, which are essential for building trust and encouraging participation.
- Creation of support networks: Promotion of collaboration between youth workers, health professionals, sports associations and families to create an integrated support ecosystem.
- Exchange of good practices: Sharing of experiences and effective methodologies among participants from different partner countries, fostering mutual learning and innovation.
Through interactive workshops, case studies and practical learning activities, youth workers will be able to design and facilitate programmes that not only promote physical well-being, but also young people's resilience, self-esteem and social belonging. The ultimate goal is to allow these young people to rediscover the joy of movement and interaction, overcoming barriers and fully reintegrating into social, sporting and community life.
