A training program empowering youth workers to combat AI-driven scams, enhance digital security, and develop media literacy through interactive methods.
AI Trap Alert is a dynamic Erasmus+ training program designed to equip youth workers with essential knowledge and skills to combat AI-driven scams and digital fraud. As artificial intelligence rapidly evolves, deepfake technology, misinformation, and identity fraud have become major threats, especially for young people. This project aims to enhance media literacy, develop digital security skills, and foster critical thinking among youth workers, enabling them to identify, counteract, and educate others about AI-generated fraud.
The training will take place over 7 nights and 8 days in Antalya, Turkey, bringing together 40 youth workers from across Europe. Through interactive workshops, real-life case studies, deepfake detection exercises, and digital security simulations, participants will learn how AI is used in scams, how to recognize fraudulent digital content, and how to safeguard young people from online threats. Additionally, they will co-develop the "AI Fraud Prevention Toolkit" and contribute to the "AI Scam Awareness Manifesto", which will be shared with policymakers and youth organizations across Europe.
Beyond the training, participants will be encouraged to implement awareness campaigns in their local communities, conduct digital security workshops, and engage in follow-up mentorship programs to ensure long-term impact. The project’s results will be widely disseminated through social media, open-access digital toolkits, and policy advocacy efforts, strengthening the capacity of youth workers in addressing AI-related risks.
By fostering a resilient and informed network of youth workers, AI Trap Alert aims to create a sustainable European movement for digital literacy and AI fraud prevention, contributing to a safer digital environment for young people across Europe.
