Integration is Teamwork - URGENT CALL FOR PARTNERS

When analysing todays’ society we saw that there is little knowledge amongst young people regarding minorities and there background. This is because they have only a few opportunities to share deeply with people from other cultures (for example minorities). Besides this the young people have a lack of interest to meet people from minorities due to the stereotypes and prejudices. This means that young people are not encouraged to have an open attitude towards minorities and we think that most of them are not aware about how their environment shaped their attitude. Next to this, a lot of young people are not involved in their community because they are not inspired to have an active role.

We thought about this and decided to organise a Youth Exchange that has the goal to: Raise awareness about minority issues and encourage building a cohesive community.

In this Youth Exchange, called Integration is Teamwork we want to reach that:
- The teenagers can understand the concept of minority issues. They are able to apply this in illustrating the specific minority situation of the participating countries.
- The participants show an open attitude towards minorities during the Youth Exchange.
- The young people find at least three ways to be more involved as active citizens in their home country.

We are searching for four participants (+ Youth Leader) per country between 15-17 years old.
It would be interesting if the participants have mixed backgrounds.
