Intangible Heritage of Europe

Let's share intangible heritage in Europe. Arboreal rite in Basilicata will be the beginning.

Basilicata Link is a youth organization based in Matera (Italy).
We are searching for partners for a youth exchange to be hosted in Italy next summer in June in the small town of Castelsaraceno.
The applicant will be Castesarceno Town Council with the technical coordination of Basilicata Link.
We are looking for partner organization from any Program Country interested in exchanging traditions, especially related to the topic of “immaterial heritage”.
The project will be hosted in Castelsaraceno, a town of about 2.000 inhabitants in the mountains during the traditional festival “N’denna” which is a ritual of fertility. Every year there is a procession and a “marriage” of two trees taken in the surrounding forests ending with a big popular event.
We would like to host groups who are able to host us as a second step of the project in their country, hopefully for similar events such as May Day or other rituals connected with the nature or with any other expression of intangible heritage (see the list here:
