INNOVATIVE METHODS OF WORKING WITH UNDERPRIVILEGED YOUTH. THEORY AND PRACTICE.

We are writing to invite you to attend and participate in the upcoming seminar "Innovative methods of working with underprivileged youth. Theory and practice"organized as part of the "Youth in Action" Programme.

Seminar will take place in Krakow, Poland (27.09-01.10.2011).

Deadline for the completion of documents from partners: 17.05.2011

The invitation is directed to social workers, guardians, employees of government and non governmental organizations, 'young offenders' institutions or reformatories, and everyone who works with young people coming from pathological circles.

The seminar is aimed at acquainting and comparing the scope of responsibilities and entitlements, rehabilitation systems, and methods of the work with youth, like also legal matters concerning the issue. We would like to learn how the problems look in others European countries, and above all to get to know and to compare methods of working with 'underprivileged youth'. The process of social-rehabilitation should be included in three aspects integrally combined, which are: prevention of social deviation, institutional and non institutional rehabilitation as well as post-penitentiary care. In order to improve this process, unceasing penetrating sources of the scientific knowledge and practice are necessary. The participation in this seminary is giving us such a possibility. This meeting is also aimed at establishing the cooperation among organizations and institutions.
