Inclusion of disadvantaged young people in social life through music and dance

Effective use of music and dance to prevent early school leaving of all disadvantaged young people of educational age and to make schools more attractive.

KA210-YOU Small Scale Partnerships in the Youth Field on 1 October 2024
Today, it seems that one of the most common problems among young people is early school leaving.
Limited educational opportunities, especially among disadvantaged youth and immigrant children, pose a serious problem. In addition, it is clear that bullying in the educational environment, poor interest in lessons, and the intense curriculum create a disaffection towards school among young people.
We see in our work that cultural and artistic activities are an important aid in combating these problems. We want to use these experiences to prevent early school leaving, especially among young people, to eliminate bullying among peers, and to help immigrant young people adapt.
For these purposes;
- To ensure the creation of sports areas in educational institutions.
- supply of necessary equipment.
- provision of costumes for performances.
- cross-country events to increase cultural cooperation.
- youth workers learn about good practices in different countries.
- cooperation with the authorities to reflect the acquired skills to the whole society.
As a result, during the project;
- First of all, we will include 32 young people in social life through music and dance education. These young people will demonstrate their skills in many activities (ceremonies, celebrations, festivals, etc.).
- They will have a healthy mental and physical structure in the sports venues to be created.
- They will actively participate in art activities with the costumes and musical equipment provided.
- Opportunities to be in a common environment with European culture, which is a dream for most young people due to its disadvantages, will be improved. In this way, the adoption of European values will be ensured through intercultural interaction.
With this project, we aim to promote the exchange of good practices between partners, intercultural cooperation, continuity, inclusion of society segments and education among young people.
We want to establish partnerships with active people and institutions, especially in the fields of music, dance and nature sports related to young people.
