We think improvisation has a huge potential of personal development for young people, hence we propose this exchange that will focus only on…how to improvise!
Why this project: Improvisation is fun. But more important is that improvisation makes you realize different aspects of one problem, it drives you to better react towards any kind of situation, it leaves you the ability to spontaneously interconnect feelings and words and express them coherently. All at once.
We think improvisation has an immense potential of personal development for young people, hence we propose this exchange that will focus only on … how to improvise!
About improvisation: Improvisation is a form of theatre in which everything that happens on the stage is made up on the spot, without any pre-defined script. Often improvisers will take a suggestion from the audience, or draw on some other source of inspiration to get started.
Improvisation is unique in that if you see a performance, that’s it… there will never be another performance exactly like it ever again.
Improv is spontaneous, entertaining, and fun. But like all great things, you’ll have to see it first hand to fully experience and appreciate it.
Target group: Young people aged 19-25, 5 participants + 1 leader per country.
From the program: We propose a 10-day exchange program in which the young people will get equipped with all necessary skills on how to improvise, will experience improvisation exercises and formats, will see other improvisers in action and will also construct and perform in front of a real-life audience.
Follow-up: All groups from each partner country will have to undertake an improvisation performance in their communities once they are back from the exchange. This activity needs to be properly reported to the promoter.
Venue: in the mountainous area of the Teleajen Valley, Romania - https://www.google.ro/maps/search/valea+teleajenului/@45.2969273,26.0028755,12z/data=!3m1!4b1
