HR Twinning

Brief outline of the project

We are looking for partners for an HR Twinning project which aims to promote the sharing of HR knowledge and good practices in the non-profit sector and to create an online network of European HR non-profit specialists, through one week of workshops which will address a variety of exciting HR aspects, such as building motivation and engagement in NGOs, employer branding, team building, and NGO networking at European level.

The project will take place in Bucharest, Romania, between 3 – 11 November 2012 (the date is provisional, and it is to be discussed with all the partners).

The application deadline for funding within the Youth in Action framework is 01 May 2012, so we encourage all prospective partners to get in touch with us at least two weeks before that deadline (13 April 2012).

Profile of partner organisations

The call for partners is addressed to NGOs of any size and range (local, regional, national or European), seeking to improve their HR processes and practices and which are keen to share their experience with other NGOs. Our partner organisations should be from EU Member States, and we aim to create a mix of Western and Eastern European participants, in order to facilitate a comprehensive understanding of HR practices across Europe. Partner organisations must have the capacity to send 5 participants to take part in the project in Bucharest.

The participants to the project should be HR professionals from non-profit organisations, and some solid experience in the field of HR is strongly recommended for at least 1 person in the group. We strongly encourage a mix of experienced members and juniors to take part in the workshops.

Benefits for our partners

Our partner organisations will have the opportunity to brainstorm solutions for their HR challenges and learn from the experience of other NGOs, in a dynamic, fast-moving and cosmopolitan city. Moreover, they will take part in an enriching multicultural experience and connect with other European HR professionals and non-profit sector enthusiasts. All participants will become part of a future online European network of non-profit HR professionals.
