SOAR Children Project: Sports and Opportunities for Advancement in Recreation for Children

Project Overview:
This initiative, involving partners from Turkey, Romania, and another country, aims to enrich children's lives through sports, social activities, and voluntarism. It goes beyond recreation, creating a supportive environment for personal growth. Young volunteers will actively implement various activities, ensuring a diverse and inclusive approach to meet the unique needs of each target group across partner countries. This holistic approach emphasizes the positive impact of voluntarism on both the children and the dedicated young volunteers, fostering lasting connections and meaningful outcomes.

Target Groups:
Each partner will focus on working with a specific group of children facing fewer opportunities:

1. Turkey:
- Seasonal farm workers' children
- Roma children

2. Poland:
- Ukrainian children

3. One more partner will be involved

Volunteer Engagement:
Each partner will host dedicated volunteers who will actively engage with their designated group of children for a minimum period of 45 days. The children will be categorized into two groups based on age: 6-10 and 11-14 years old. Sports branches will be determined according to these two age groups.

Activity Phases:
The project's activities will be organized in terms of two specific periods each year:
1. Term 1: June 1 - July 15: 6 volunteers from each partner (Each partner will be hosting 6 volunteers in every term)
2. Term 2: August 1 - September 15: 6 volunteers from each partner (Each partner will be hosting 6 volunteers in every term)

Activity details:
Art, music/playing instruments
Sport activities (The branches will be defined according to age groups of the participant children)

The project duration will be 2 years. There will be 2 volunteering team terms every year for each partner and every partner will host 6 volunteers in their region for the defined target group. In total, every partner will have 6 terms in the project and will host 36 volunteers.

Project Duration:
The entire project is designed to span over 2 years, with the collaborative efforts of the consortium partners contributing to the holistic development of children facing fewer opportunities.
