The relationship between food, nutrition, and physical activities, however, is complex, dynamic, multi-faceted and highly affected by biological as well as environmental, socioeconomic, cultural and behavioral factors. Studies indicate that overweight youth may never achieve a healthy weight, and up to 70% of obese teens may become obese adults. By eating healthy, we will show the participants:

• Nutrition: basic rules for healthy eating, healthy food myths, food and the five senses; Biochemistry and processes in the body
• The health of the next generation: Youth learn most health-related behaviors from the adults around them, and parents who model healthful eating and exercise habits tend to pass these on.
• Calculating Calories and nutrients in single-ingredient meals
• Better mood: Emerging evidence suggests a close relationship between diet and mood. A healthful diet may improve overall mood, it is essential for people with depression to seek medical care.
The goal is not to tell you how to think, feel or behave, but rather to help improve your understanding of how a healthy lifestyle affects individual health, and, to let you experience the challenge of improving your own personal health.
