Healthy Adventure

The project aims to show and encourage young people to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle by showing the principles of healthy eating and sports activities.

The Polish group includes 10 people (and two leaders) aged 15 to 17, homeschoolers, living
near Wrocław. Wrocław is a large city located in southwestern Poland, close to the border
with the Czech Republic and Germany. In 2016, it became the European capital of culture,
and in 2012 it hosted Euro 2012. Wrocław is a university city. There are also over 100
bridges in Wrocław and it’s called the Venice of the North. The city has a lot of intercultural
history. The Polish group is interested in for example sports, cooking and reading. The
project aims to present young people with a healthy and active lifestyle through classes on
preparing diets, cooking together, meetings with experts on a healthy lifestyle, a joint
Olympics, a hike to Mount Ślęża, kayaking, sitting volleyball, yoga, ultimate frisbee and
relaxation techniques classes. We chose this project topic because nowadays young people
around us lead unhealthy or inactive lifestyles. We are looking for participants aged 14 to
17, in groups of 10 people plus two leaders. We are looking for 4 such groups. We would
like groups willing and ready for an active project to take part in the project and interested in
the topic of a healthy and active lifestyle. We expect applicants to: Invent and buy a healthy
snack from their country, prepare an idea for a cultural evening, prepare a dish to be cooked
during a cooking competition, come up with an activity or game from their country to
present and an idea for disseminating the results.
