Join H2O! We seek at least 2 Sport Clubs, public entities, NGOs for an Erasmus+ Water Polo event focusing on youth health, nutrition & mental well-being
PROGRAMME: Erasmus+ Sport
CALL: ERASMUS-SPORT-2026-SNCESE
DEADLINE: March 5, 2026
GRANT: €200,000 (Lump Sum Type I)
THE CONTEXT: THE PARADOX OF THE "SEDENTARY ATHLETE"
Current data from "Health at a Glance: Europe 2024" reveals a worrying trend: only 15% of adolescents meet WHO activity guidelines. Even competitive youth athletes live in a "sedentary ecosystem," spending 8-10 hours immobile at school desks. Technical training in the pool is often an exception in a routine of poor posture and stress. Furthermore, 56% of teens have poor nutritional habits, and psychological pressure is rising.
H2O was born to bridge this gap. We believe the need is not just "to do more sport," but to optimize the relationship between the body, the mind, and the daily environment.
OBJECTIVES: BEYOND THE POOL
Our goal is to transform the technical gesture of Water Polo into a tool for daily life awareness. The project moves beyond the scoreboard to embrace a holistic vision of well-being:
1. Physical Health: Teaching athletes to transfer aquatic balance and spinal discipline to their daily study routine (ergonomics & posture).
2. Nutritional Literacy: Proving that healthy eating is accessible and sustainable.
3. Mental Resilience: Providing tools to manage performance anxiety and prevent burnout.
4. Parental Engagement: Turning families into a support system rather than a source of pressure.
ACTIVITIES & METHODOLOGY
The project revolves around 3 Transnational Mobilities, combining competitive sport with high-profile education:
* "H2O" International Water Polo Tournament: The core event promoting fair play and socialization.
* Biomechanics Workshops: Physiotherapists teach athletes how to compensate for sedentary school hours through postural correction.
* Nutrition & Sustainability Labs: Practical challenges to create balanced, eco-friendly meals on a budget.
* Mental Health Sessions: Psychologists lead workshops on stress management and mindfulness.
* Parenting Webinars: Digital seminars to help parents support their children’s psychophysical growth.
* #BeActive Campaign: High-visibility events aligned with the European Week of Sport.
PARTNERS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for committed partners (public or private) active in the fields of Sport (specifically Water Polo).
EXPECTED RESULTS
* For Athletes: Improved posture, better nutritional habits, and stronger mental resilience.
* For Clubs: A reusable educational model and Open Access Toolkits (Postural Manual, Nutritional Guide, Resilience Guide).
* For Communities: Greater awareness of the #BeActive values and European citizenship.
