GYMNASIUM-training mind and body

GYMNASIUM aims to discuss issues including cultural diversity, solidarity and tolerance through sport.

"GYMNASIUM-training body and mind" is a Youth Exchange project that will take place in San Cassiano (in the South of Italy) from 18th to 29th June 2016. It will involve 40 young people aged 18-25 from Italy, Turkey, Greece, Sweden and --- (8 per partner, including 2 leaders). GYMNASIUM aims to build a social network in which the participants can discuss issues including cultural diversity, solidarity and tolerance using a language that they all can speak: sport. Being one of young people's favourite activities, sport plays a key role because it can naturally teach them to respect the rules and work in a team. Besides the structured sports activities, the participants will spend most of their time outdoor, doing cycling trips, swimming in the sea, sleeping in a tent and using the bike as their main means of transport. This will help them reflect on the benefits of spending time outdoor and have a healthy lifestyle.
