A 7-day international program empowering youth workers to improve volunteer management through shared practices,a common tracking system, and open-access guides.
This project is a 7-day international capacity-building program that brings together youth workers from different European countries with the aim of addressing the lack of guidance in the field of volunteer management.
Youth workers who are new to youth work often lack a standard guide, relying on their organizations' individual methods and conducting their activities through trial and error. This situation leads to significant quality differences between countries and organizations.
In the project, participants will:
Share volunteer tracking and management practices in their own countries,
Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the methods used,
Learn how to implement a common Volunteer Tracking System model,
Develop a standard checklist that can be used in volunteer management.
As a concrete output of the project, each country will:
Prepare a digital e-magazine that describes its own volunteer management methods,
Objectively evaluates its strengths and weaknesses,
Includes recommendations for integration with the Volunteer Tracking System.
A total of as many publications as the number of countries participating in the project will be produced; these journals will be published via social media and shared digital platforms, creating an open-access, practical, and professional guide set for youth workers.
