Share an experience of ecological agriculture, that serves as an example, inspiration and instruct to all young to see another point of view more sustainable.
Under the slogan "to live with the land, the land and for the land" we started the project "Growing in favor of nature" focusing on the empowerment of new generations of young people and welcome KA1 actions of mobility of people for reasons of learning, so that they can be trained in a space of experimentation and dissemination of knowledge focused on the interactions between; rural sustainability, ecology and the social sphere, or in other words, a project of learning and self-management in a natural environment, focused on the exchange of health knowledge of the earth and of all the beings that live in it.
The main objective of the project IS TO GIVE YOUNG PEOPLE THE BASIS OF creating an alternative to the environmental destructive model of conbencional horticulture, based on showing management and wisdom of different methodologies of a more natural agriculture, in which we seek a balance between the simplicity of the management or practices, productivity and respect for life. Another concept that we want to highlight and teach is not TO DEPEND ON HARMFUL PRODUCTS for health and the environment AND TO BE AUTOSUFICIENT IN SITES WHERE THERE IS MEDIA SHORTAGES, so that we can ENJOY better nutrition and at the same time improve The fertility of the land.
Topics that will be carried out during the meeting:
-The Huerta
The garden is focused on both self-consumption and the creation of self-employment. Creating an alternative to the destructive environmental model, based on experimenting with management and wisdom of different methodologies of a more natural agriculture, in which we seek a balance between the simplicity of management, productivity, respect for life and that results can serve as an example and inspiration both to create family gardens and to cultivate large areas serving to manage food in areas with limited resources.
-Agroforesteria
Within the project we attach great importance to food forests for their innumerable environmental benefits, their sustainability and multifunctionality and the immense amount of food and raw materials that can be extracted from these ecosystems with a minimum of maintenance once they are established. With the idea of capturing different approaches, ideas and strategies or methodologies when creating an agrofloresta.
- Self-supply of Seeds
Due to the great crossroads against the biodiversity of seeds, carried out by the growing monopoly of food, we are at a crucial moment in which we do not back down if we do not act already in the conservation of varieties of seeds that are forgotten or not so commercially known, which are the result of the legacy of generations of selection and conservation, which are part of our culture and heritage. In the activity on the self-supply of Seeds "we aim to disseminate seed conservation focusing mostly on local varieties, and to create links to help with other projects and related people. For all these reasons, we are going to carry out different activities to initiate the participants in the field of seed conservation.
-Beekeeping
Given the advantages that bees offer us in a rural environment, we will be different workshops focused on promoting their expansion. The main objective is based on the dissemination of knowledge for the proliferation and management of bees, and the production and extraction of their honey without causing them too much impact, making more consistent with a more natural apiculture.
In short, the project seeks to empower young people with different learning tools for self-management, which can serve as new options in the workplace to DEVELOP them in the future.
