Growing awareness for the environment

AMBeCO' Environment and Communication, based in Avezzano (AQ), is a cooperative a.r.l. Engaged in the fields of communication, training and company internalization. The cooperative deals with environment by enhancing the naturalistic values of the Abruzzo area and by promoting the culture of the sustainable living.
Aim of the project is to involve the volunteer in the realization of information and sensitization campaigns addressed to citizens and students related to environmental issues, such as: garbage, water, energy and sustainable development through environmental education.
The volunteer will be involved in a series of activities regarding external and internal relations in the cooperative, the planning of activities and projects, the participation in some administrative activities. The activities will be focused on environmental education and the work methods expect team work but also individual activities. The volunteer handle communication and public relations preparing articles, updating the web site and social media.

Two volunteers will be selected between 18 and 30 years old that will have as main tasks those of:
• organize themed events in the environmental educational center (i.e. creative workshops, meeting movie nights, themed events, etc.),
• support the projects and the CEA activities in line with their own inclination, to work on the web page, cooperate with a partner, office work (namely sending e-mails, prepare documents, update the database, work with social media), document the events with photos and videos and share them on social network,
• contribute to environmental education by proposing their own ideas and projects and by taking part in informative campaigns,
• development of promotional activities based on the theme of protection of the environment and activities in schools to educate the students in the theme of the environment and on biodiversity.

The ideal volunteer should have the following characteristics:
• good level of English,
• flexible, motivated and with previous experiences in working with children and students,
• creativity and independence,
• adaptability, flexibility and a sense of responsibility,
• previous experiences on environmental education or specific studies on the environment or ecology,
• computer knowledges,
• capacity to create audios, videos and being able to promote activities/events on the main social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
