KA153 training course on outdoor and experiential education. Romania, 4-10 July 2027. Seeking 6 partners, 4 youth workers each. Travel and board covered.
PLEASE SEND PIF TO: erasmus.vietischimbate@gmail.com .
"Green Paths: Outdoor Education for Sustainable Youth Work" is a KA153 training course that takes youth work outside. Over seven working days, 28 youth workers from 7 countries experience, test and design nature-based, experiential learning activities, and build the confidence to run them at home with low budgets and simple resources. The course treats the outdoors not as a nice setting but as a method: a learning space that changes how young people engage, cooperate and reflect.
WHAT WE WILL WORK ON
- Outdoor and experiential learning as a method: the environment as the learning space
- Nature-based non-formal education tools that work with minimal resources
- Environmental awareness and sustainable behaviour built through direct experience
- Group dynamics, facilitation and debriefing after physical or challenging activities
- Risk assessment, safety, duty of care and responsible use of natural areas
- Designing and testing an outdoor activity in international teams, with peer feedback
- Youthpass, learning outcomes, and transferring the methods into each partner's reality
DATES AND VENUE
Arrival day: 3 July 2027
Activity days: 4-10 July 2027 (7 full working days)
Departure day: 11 July 2027
Venue: Oradea / Bihor County, Romania, at a venue with direct access to natural areas
Working language: English
Getting there: Oradea Airport (OMR), or Budapest Airport (BUD, about 250 km, direct train and bus), or Cluj-Napoca Airport (CLJ, about 150 km).
PARTNERSHIP WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for 6 partner organisations from EU Member States or third countries associated to the Erasmus+ Programme, so that the partnership counts 7 organisations in total together with Romania. Each partner sends 4 participants: 28 participants in total, Romania included. Newcomer organisations are genuinely welcome: previous Erasmus+ experience is not required.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- Youth workers, trainers, educators, volunteers and project coordinators, 18+, no upper age limit
- Actively working with young people and able to apply outdoor methods after the course
- Comfortable spending full days outdoors, including walking and light physical activity in variable weather
- Able to work in English at conversational level
- Available for the whole activity, from arrival to departure day, and for the online preparation meeting
- Committed to running at least one follow-up activity in their organisation or community
WHAT IS COVERED
Accommodation and all meals from the arrival day to the departure day, the full programme, facilitation, materials, local transport and the cultural programme are covered by the project. Travel costs are reimbursed up to the Erasmus+ ceiling for the distance band between your city and Oradea; the exact amount per country is confirmed in writing before any ticket is booked. Green travel is encouraged and supported, and inclusion support is available for participants with fewer opportunities. All participants receive a Youthpass certificate.
Not covered: travel above the applicable ceiling, insurance, visa fees and personal expenses.
WHAT WE ASK FROM PARTNERS
- A valid Erasmus+ OID with up-to-date documents in the Organisation Registration System
- Open and transparent selection of participants matching the profile above
- Participation in the online preparation meeting and the preparation tasks
- Booking travel only after written confirmation of the budget, keeping all original documents
