We are from Rome,Italy as a informal group we are writing project to Italian National Agency. Participants Profile: 18-30 Green Fashion Week
Young people are surrounded by fast-fashion consumption, but environmental awareness does not necessarily translate into practical everyday action. Many lack the knowledge, critical consumer literacy and practical skills needed to buy less, use clothes longer, repair, reuse, swap and upcycle them.
Clothing is an essential part of young people's everyday lives, but it is also increasingly connected to rapidly changing trends, online shopping, social media influence and short consumption cycles. For many young people, fashion is a form of identity and self-expression; however, the environmental and social consequences behind everyday clothing choices often remain distant from their daily experience.
1.Participants will develop a better understanding of the environmental and social impacts of fast fashion, textile consumption and waste, as well as the principles of circular fashion
2.Through hands-on repair, redesign, clothes-swapping and upcycling activities, participants will gain practical experience in transforming existing textile items instead of treating them as waste.
3.Participants will explore how advertising, social media, influencers, online shopping and sustainability claims influence their consumption choices.
4.Participants will work in international teams to design practical ideas for promoting circular-fashion behaviour among their peers.
