ABOUT US
Asociatia Vieti Schimbate is a non-governmental, non-profit youth organisation based in Oradea, Bihor County, north-western Romania. We work with and for young people through non-formal education, focusing on wellbeing, the green transition, digital and future skills, and the inclusion of young people from rural areas and small towns.

THE PROJECT
"Green Explorers: Youth for Sustainable Communities" is a KA152 youth exchange in which 36 young people from 6 countries explore how sustainability actually works at local level, and design green initiatives they can run in their own communities afterwards. The exchange is deliberately hands-on: less talking about the climate crisis in the abstract, more looking at energy, waste, food and mobility where young people actually live.

WHAT WE WILL WORK ON
- Climate change and the green transition seen through a young person's everyday choices
- Sustainable communities: energy, waste, water, food, mobility and consumption at local scale
- Circular economy in practice: repair, reuse and rethinking what we throw away
- Community mapping and field exploration in and around Oradea, identifying local challenges and good practices
- Green skills and green careers as real opportunities for young people
- Designing youth-led local initiatives in international teams, with a plan each group can actually run at home
- Intercultural evenings, outdoor activities and team-building that make the group work as one

DATES AND VENUE
Arrival day: 7 September 2027
Activity days: 8-16 September 2027 (9 full working days)
Departure day: 17 September 2027
Venue: Oradea / Bihor County, Romania
Working language: English
Getting there: Oradea Airport (OMR), or Budapest Airport (BUD, about 250 km, direct train and bus), or Cluj-Napoca Airport (CLJ, about 150 km).

PARTNERSHIP WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for 5 partner organisations from EU Member States or third countries associated to the Erasmus+ Programme, so that the partnership counts 6 organisations in total together with Romania. Each partner sends 6 participants, group leader included: 36 participants in total, Romania included. Newcomer organisations are genuinely welcome: previous Erasmus+ experience is not required.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
- Young people aged 18-30, plus 1 group leader per group (18+, no age limit)
- Motivated by environmental topics and willing to take an active role, not only to attend
- Able to communicate in basic English: perfect English is not required
- Available for the whole activity, including the online preparation meeting and the preparation tasks
- Ready to contribute to the intercultural evening and to the group's follow-up initiative
- We strongly encourage groups that include young people with fewer opportunities

WHAT IS COVERED
Accommodation and all meals from the arrival day to the departure day, the full programme, facilitation, materials, local transport and the cultural programme are covered by the project. Travel costs are reimbursed up to the Erasmus+ ceiling for the distance band between your city and Oradea; the exact amount per country is confirmed in writing before any ticket is booked. Green travel is encouraged and supported, and inclusion support is available for participants with fewer opportunities. All participants receive a Youthpass certificate.
Not covered: travel above the applicable ceiling, insurance, visa fees and personal expenses.

WHAT WE ASK FROM PARTNERS
- A valid Erasmus+ OID with up-to-date documents in the Organisation Registration System
- Open and transparent selection of participants matching the profile above
- Participation in the online preparation meeting and the preparation tasks
- Booking travel only after written confirmation of the budget, keeping all original documents
- Support for the Youthpass process and the participant reports
- Local dissemination and at least one follow-up activity after the mobility
- Replies to project e-mails within 3 to 5 working days during preparation
