GO GREENER" is a 7 day training course that aims to support youth workers promoting eco-lifestyle in their working process with children.
It is already two decades that Environment protection is on the agenda of European Union policy. Successful steps were done in European level. Since 2000, employment in the eco-industries has risen by 20 % and produced over 4.2 million jobs. Still Environment is what whole Europe, neighboring countries and all the world have in common, to achieve greater success needs efforts not only by decision makers of EU, but generally by all citizens. Meanwhile in Europe the eco-measures vary a lot in different countries. On one hand we see Ljubljana as European green capital 2016 that is close to achieving a zero waste society, on the other hand we witness Belgium as the worst environmental performer in Europe (Environmental Performance Index (EPI) by Yale University).
We are sure environmental protection is not only the task of politicians and decision makers but also the task of every responsible and committed citizen. While politicians see environment protection as a cornerstone for sustainable development, we would like to take our communities attention to environmental protection from another ankle. Practicing eco-lifestyle is healthy and interesting and develops creativity. This is our message that we want to send to children in different parts of Europe through youth workers.
"GO GREENER" is a 7 day training course that aims to support youth workers promoting eco-lifestyle in their working process with children.
