Go Green

VERDE is searching for partners for a Small-scale partnership in youth project (KA210) related to environmental education and fight against climate change

With just 1.0 degree Celsius of global warming, the past decade has seen an incredible streak of record-breaking hurricanes, forest fires, droughts, coral bleaching, heat waves, and floods all over the world. However, all of this will deteriorate significantly if the temperature rises by 1.5 degrees Celsius, and even more so if the temperature rises by 2 degrees Celsius.
We are all responsible for making the improvements we can to reduce our carbon emissions in the face of the current challenge. The EU has set a target of being carbon neutral by 2050. In several ways, actions to reduce pollution also help to achieve the SDGs, raising public consciousness about issues such as climate change.

The primary aim of the project is to equip the organisations with the necessary skills and knowledge that will enable them to develop and coordinate effective climate change awareness campaigns. Moreover, we want to mainstream environmental education and work towards helping youth organisations.

The objectives of the project are the following:
-Build the capacity of consortium and foster networking and cooperation of the youth work sector on global level in terms of environmental-responsible and sustainable living education
-Develop and offer a Tool-kit of innovation methods for greening the youth organisations and young people across the globe.
-Promote responsible and sustainable living on the personal example of the youth workers and their organizations
-Networking of youth organisations which follow green practises
