Give Peace a Chance (The case of Cyprus)

The main goal of this project is to promote intercultural dialogue and conflict management. The project will be aimed at youth and youth leaders (aged 15-22).

This project will implement a set of activities to actively engage youth in peace building, to empower and support the youth to play an active role in the reconciliation process and to build and strengthen the necessary support structures for them to continue in youth activism. It will shine light to the existing Cyprus problem and give the opportunity to young people across the EU to experience first-hand the impact of division. They will find out about the initiatives bringing the two communities together and how the Covid-19 pandemic has slowed down the process.

The project will target youth as well as youth leaders (aged 15-22). Activities during the exchange visits will cover research on youth opinions and attitudes, workshops to promote activism and debates as well as comprehensive training programs.
