Young People's Search for a Solution to Climate Change through STEM

One of the most important problems of our age is undoubtedly global climate change. Reducing the effects of climate change in order to make our future more livable and increase the quality of life of humanity is possible primarily by improving the awareness of individuals.Solution searches will be realized by improving the awareness of individuals.The solution to problems such as climate change that we have encountered in recent years has brought about the importance of interdisciplinary approaches.
The STEM approach is a tool for individuals to produce solutions to daily life problems from an interdisciplinary perspective.
The aim of this project is to provide young people from different countries with the opportunity to develop their climate literacy skills and use STEM disciplines embedded in the climate change problem.
Within the scope of the project;
-Climate change training will be provided to develop the climate literacy skills of young people.
-STEM training will be provided to ensure that young people establish interdisciplinary connections.
-Products that will develop solutions to climate change problems will be designed by adopting the STEM approach.
Global climate change has many negative effects on agriculture, cities, nature, environment, water, economy, biodiversity, etc. In this sense, after the trainings to be given to the participants, products will be developed by presenting solution suggestions for the above-mentioned areas.
After the mobility, the participating countries will research the effects of global climate change in the cities of their countries. Online meetings will be held during the research process of these effects in the cities of the participants.
