Project Title: From the Birthplace of Settled Life to the Present: Culture and Climate (KA-153YOU- Mobility Of Youth Workers)
Project Aim:
This project is designed to help youth workers understand the impact of climate change on cultural heritage, historical structures, gastronomy, lifestyles, rivers, and vegetation. It also aims to support them in developing methods to engage young people on this topic. By exploring the link between climate change and cultural heritage through an interdisciplinary approach, the project seeks to raise awareness within youth work.
Project Details:
• Participant Profile: 5 different countries will be involved, with 6 youth workers from each country, totaling 30 participants.
• Duration: A 6-day training program.
• Location: Diyarbakır/ Türkiye.
Project Objectives:
1. Enhancing youth workers' competencies: Providing participants with innovative methods to convey the relationship between climate change and cultural heritage to young people.
2. Promoting an interdisciplinary approach: Encouraging participants to explore the effects of climate change on historical sites, traditions, gastronomy, and vegetation from different disciplinary perspectives.
3. Fostering international cooperation: Creating a platform for youth workers from different countries to exchange knowledge and experiences while establishing networks for future collaborations.
4. Raising climate awareness: Equipping participants with educational materials, workshops, and digital tools to increase their awareness of climate change and effectively engage young people.
5. Utilizing innovative and digital tools: Developing digital maps, virtual museums, social media campaigns, and podcast content to enhance the project's impact in line with Erasmus+ priorities.
