FROM STREET TO STAGE YOUTH

We formed a music for the fist time in Şırnak which is a mixture of both arabesque and rap music. The band plays violin, electro guitar, drums and baglama.

Group Genckolik involves 9 people. We have been making music since 9th grade. We formed a music for the fist time in Şırnak which is a mixture of both arabesque and rap music. This type of music is unique to us. The band plays violin, electro guitar, drums and baglama. Singers are the most important part of this type of music. We have great singers. The interesting part is we both sing songs, play instruments and dance in an interesting way. When we form all of these in a unique way, we generate our music.
This type of music motivates the youth, exposes their potential energy, makes them more dynamic, and makes them more self-confident. This type of music and dance is very impressive for the youngsters who live in isolation and try to be more social. Because of financial issues, it is really hard for us to improve our music and become more popular. We also applied for some financial support to some institutions. Finally, we learned about National Agency, they gave us information and training about the projects. To sum up, we want to be nationally known, be more helpful for the youngsters and improve our music by making this project.
