From Risk to Opportunity – Youth Building Safer Communities is an Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project coordinated by 976 Influence, a youth organisation based in Mayotte, France.
The project aims to bring together young people from Mayotte and another European country to explore how young people can contribute to safer, more inclusive and supportive communities.
The project will particularly involve young people facing fewer opportunities, including social, economic, educational and geographical barriers.
Through non-formal education, intercultural activities, workshops, discussions, role-playing, collaborative challenges and creative activities, participants will explore topics such as violence prevention, conflict management, active citizenship, social inclusion, discrimination and youth participation.
Young people will not only participate in the activities but will also contribute to their preparation and implementation.
We are currently looking for one motivated partner organisation from another Erasmus+ eligible country. The partner should work with young people and preferably have experience in social inclusion, youth participation, conflict prevention, citizenship or non-formal education.
The partner organisation will help select and prepare its group of young participants and will actively contribute to the preparation, implementation and follow-up of the Youth Exchange.
We are particularly interested in building a genuine partnership between young people from Mayotte and another European territory, allowing them to exchange experiences, discover different realities and develop solutions together.
Our Erasmus+ application is currently being finalised, so we are looking for a partner able to start collaborating with us quickly.
