Free Walking Tour

This is a call for partners within the centralized call "Social inclusion and common values: the contribution in the field of education, training and youth"

The general objective of this call is:
Disseminating and/or scaling up good practices on inclusive education/youth environments and/or on promoting common values, initiated in particular at local level. In the context of the present call, scaling up means replicating good practice on a wider scale/transferring it to a different context or implementing it at a higher/systemic level.
Lot 1: Education and Training
Specific objective: Promoting European values, cultural heritage and heritage-related skills, common history, intercultural dialogue and social inclusion through education, non-formal and lifelong learning, in line with the objectives of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage.

The idea of the project is scale up the method of the "Free Walking Tour" among other partners in Europe. Due to the economic crises and the immigration in bigger cities nowadays we risk to lose our local heritage made of monuments, history and locations, that generally are out the traditional touristic circuit. Generally happens that historical centres are abandoned and citizens don't even care of their historical sites. The free walking tour is a way to discover heritage for free thanks to the support of the local people.
