"Food, Culture and Society: Food is Our Culture" offers the opportunity to exchange cultural experiences between youth through food. (KA1)

Mediterranean-style cuisine is described as a healthy way of eating surrounded by family and friends thus defining it not only as a key element of everyday life but most of all as an element of social life and socialization. The project "Food, Culture and Society: Food is Our Culture" offers the opportunity to exchange cultural experiences and to increase awareness, activity and understanding between youth from different cultural backgrounds through food. The project "Food, Culture and Society: Food is Our Culture" is planned as a seven-day exchange of youth from 3 countries and Greece. The exchange will take place in September of 2018 in Greece. 20 participants will participate directly in the project, 5 from each partner country aged 16-30. During the project, participants will share knowledge and
practices about culture, history, tradition and food habits. The Mobility will be implemented by non – formal educational methods, such as workshops, discussions - debates, educational games, study visits, etc. The "Food, Culture and Society: Food isOur Culture» project agenda will be interesting and will include many different methods. Starting with integration meetings with group building activities and games, fun, traveling and searching for "traces” of cultures of partner countries in
addition to exploring history and heritage, participants will gain new skills in food and competence workshops.
