FOLK it!

FOLK it! is the idea of inspiring young people to traditions of many nations and ethnic groups. We would like to know different styles of dancing, singing, to get to know beautiful sounds of music of various nations, art, craftwork, traditional games and folk fashion.
We want to take better care for saving the folk traditions from our countries. We see how this culture is dying off. Currently we are all the time in rush but forget about our customs. All what youth should do, is to prevent of contemporary world, to not to let this beauty pass away. All our rich traditions are absorbed by industry and automatic machines. We don’t realize how hand-made products are unappreciated because of being substitute by the mass production. Often these products are just fake and don’t pass the message of the real deep rooted traditions.
We want to show and to make people aware of that wealth. If we don’t do a thing to preserve our authenticity we may be all flooded by things we don’t appreciate, we don’t care about and then, we fall into a trap by losing the possibility of value unique customs and traditions of our nations, minorities who live around us. We should care for our originality rooted in the past, because if we don’t, then who will?
