FocusUP: Digital Well-being and Green Time Management for Modern Youth

The "FocusUP" project addresses three of the most critical challenges of youth : digital addiction , time management , enviromental awareness

The "FocusUP" project addresses three interconnected challenges faced by modern European teenagers: fragmented academic focus, poor time management, and a growing disconnection from the natural environment due to excessive screen time. Today's youth live in a fast-paced, high-pressure digital world that triggers both academic burnout and high carbon footprints through constant digital consumption.
This KA152 Youth Exchange aims to introduce the concept of "Green Time Management". It teaches youth how to manage their daily schedules efficiently while promoting digital well-being and environmental sustainability. By stepping out of their digital bubbles and reconnecting with nature, participants will discover how sustainable living habits and eco-friendly routines can actually boost their cognitive focus and reduce academic stress.

Dörtyol Science and Art Center
taking place
from 2026-10-01 till 2027-12-01
This project relates to:
Youth Exchanges
This project can include young people with fewer opportunities like
  • Educational difficulties
Modern students (15-18) operate within a highly competitive and demanding educational climate that prioritizes rigid academic output. However, our participants experience significant barriers to learning due to poor self-regulation skills, digital dependency, and a lack of support in "learning how to learn." These difficulties often lead to chronic procrastination, low academic self-esteem, and exam-induced burnout. Many of our students attend schools where the formal curriculum provides technical knowledge but completely lacks mentorship on cognitive endurance, deep work habits, or managing stress.
