FLOW V4 - Future Leaders for Our Waters

Youth Bridges Budapest is developing a new project proposal for the International Visegrad Fund under the V4@35: Generation Future strategic priority.

Project focus
FLOW V4 will connect young people from the four Visegrad countries around shared environmental challenges, particularly:
- water protection and responsible water use;
- sustainable energy and resource management;
climate adaptation;
- environmental awareness and community participation.

The project primarily targets the first generation born after the V4 countries joined the European Union and the Schengen Area (aged 16-22).

Planned activities
- development of a common community-mapping framework;
- local focus groups with young people and relevant stakeholders;
- creation of a joint map of environmental challenges and good practices across the V4;
- two international study visits presenting transferable solutions;
- a joint booklet summarising the lessons and practices identified;
- local workshops supporting young people in developing their own ideas;
- small-scale youth-led environmental initiatives in each country;
- a final V4 Youth Summit in Hungary.

Expected impact
The project will help young people better understand the environmental challenges shared by V4 societies, learn from practical regional examples and turn their ideas into locally relevant initiatives. It will also strengthen long-term cooperation among young people, civil society organisations and environmental stakeholders across the region.

Partners sought
We are currently looking for organisations from Czechia, Poland and Slovakia with experience or a strong interest in youth participation, environmental education, sustainability, water protection or community development.
