This project is a bilateral youth exchange will take place during 2017 in Canarias. Activities will be 7 days plus two days of the visit of preparation. Youth groups will participate from Poland and Spain. We will be many participants aged 18 to 25 who participate in activities related to the issues of European awareness, inclusion and disadvantaged groups, with a specific focus on immigration.
The overall project objective is to create a broad multicultural youth group conscious of the positive impact of migration processes in isolated which is difficult to access opportunities, learning the value of social diversity and the intrinsic value of being European environments.
This project also offers cross-cutting objectives:
- This project raises awareness of other cultures through the vision we have of the particular situations in each country in different ways: citizenship and participation, historical heritage and idiosyncrasy, immigration, public resources. Therefore, both the workshops and intercultural evenings and informal meetings that we make up one aspect of this objective.
- This project supports dialogue and intercultural encounters with other young people from different backgrounds and cultures as part of the activities are based on team work in small groups of mixed composition, where participants discuss every moment with an intense exchange of activities ideas and experiences and learn from each other. Even this intercultural sense will keep in the rooms, since each room will be displayed both countries, leading to a more intense dialogue during informal times (morning, noon, during dinner, etc.).
- This project promotes tolerance and understanding of diversity through activities where participants will be able to compare our values, culture, traditions and customs with those of other nations (intercultural evenings, work in mixed groups and knowledge of migratory realities) .
- The project presented here promotes among us a sense of European citizenship and helps us understand the problems and social and cultural characteristics common to all Europe.
- This project also reflects a common concern for European society, such as the fight against racism, xenophobia and anti-Semitism. In this sense we understand that our actions are aimed at the presentation and reflection on our own values, our culture and traditions (eg, intercultural evenings) to create a space where young people understand and compare the differences and similarities of our peoples and Wealth from the migration.
- The theme of the project is related to European issues and EU action in areas that affect us young people, particularized approach to immigration, both regular and irregular.
We say that the achievements will reach by working in mixed groups Finally, there will also be participatory workshops on immigration issues / difficulty of access to opportunities. These two youth exchanges will provide us the opportunity to use the local environment of each country to contextualize the activities, thus generating greater personal and local impact. Intercultural evenings and other planned activities will improve the understanding of other cultures within Europe.
